Wedding Photography FAQ’s
What is your photography style?
My style is very cinematic, I love it when my images look like a still from a film. I combine that with candid and documentary-style photos for when you are interacting with your guests, the shots in between big events when I’m unable to control the situation. Your getting ready photos, the couples photos, and the little details I shoot are very creative, art cinema style.
What packages do you offer, and what do they include?
My packages are very flexible. For weddings, I offer half or full-day packages, elopement and engagement / pre-wedding sessions.
All of them depend on how many hours you will need me on the day and the more hours the more editing it requires. So all of them are personalized to your needs for the day. We don’t have to follow a rigid structure of 1. getting ready, 2 ceremony and 3 couples photos. A package can include everything from the engagement. or, and pre-wedding photos, to ceremony and family and couples photos. So tell me everything you want documented and we will create the package that is right for you!

How long after the wedding will we receive the photos?
On the day of the wedding or the day after (if it does go on too late ), I will send a few photos as a preview and you are welcome to share with your family and friends and social media if you so wish!
For the full set of photos, I usually work on them in batches, as I go through every single image I took, which could be thousands and you can either receive them as I edit in multiple parts through Dropbox, Google Drive, or Wetransfer or wait to see them all at the end. This can take a few weeks depending on my workload or up to a couple of months in the busier seasons.
We don't know how to pose, can you help?
Of course! It is part of my job to create the images from the framing to how you will be set up for the photos. There is really nothing to it, you will be interacting with each other, mostly looking at each other, as you get more comfortable we can pose a little bit more as we go. I won’t ask you to do anything you aren’t comfortable with and you can say no if you don’t want to do a pose. A majority of it will be candid and I will be giving you prompts like “do a little slow dance and twirl the bride” or “Hold hands and walk towards me" and you can talk, laugh and look away from the camera for most of it.
A lot of the “candid” wedding photography you see has been prompted by the photographer unless you often lift each other and kiss endlessly. It is also great to take the lead and interact with each other as you normally would or even suggest your ideas! if you have a pose in mind please don’t be scared to suggest it or ask. These are your photos so I will gladly try anything!
If you are a bit nervous I would suggest leaving more time for the photos, (1 hour +) so we can take it slower, chat get your mind off it and have enough time to walk between locations.
One of my couples Mela & Seb had asked to put a table in the middle of the street and take some photos and it was a great idea! I loved the photos we created so much.
If want more editorial-style photos there will be a lot more posing and “serious looks” but I can definitely help you pose for those as well, I live for editorials. You can check my editorial work here
What is your plan in case of bad weather?
The plan in Scotland is always bad weather, I am prepared and I have done photoshoots through heavy rain and wind so as long as you are okay with getting photos in bad weather then me and my equipment are ready.
Can we provide a list of specific shots we would like?
Definitely! From poses to locations and groups of people. Feel free to send your inspiration photos and Pinterest Boards. I want to see your vision come true.
How do you coordinate with the videographer?
I have worked with a videographer in a few weddings before, if you want us as a package deal I can inquire about his availability. For a separate videographer, you would provide me with their Information and we can create a plan of action to help each other out and take turns getting our content without getting into each other’s way.
Destination Weddings
Yes! Destination Wedding packages are the same as all my other packages with the exception of additional travel costs and extra planning
How do you handle multi-day weddings or non-Western ceremonies?
I have photographed and attended as a guest a few Indian and Chinese weddings that were multi-day and involved non-Western ceremonies. I am by no means an expert in either. Please feel free to educate me on the etiquette and approach of each ceremony as I would like to be respectful and informed. I am open to learning and planning the photography according to your traditions and customs.
Packages for multi-day weddings are all custom so please provide your full schedule and I can create an all-inclusive quote according to your needs.
Neurodivergent & LBTQIA+ 🏳️🌈 Weddings
I have done many photoshoots with LBTQIA+ people, everyone of all genders and sexualities are very welcome. Please provide your preferred pronouns in our communications and as long as you are comfortable with me you have nothing to worry about.
I am neurodivergent myself so you can feel safe with me, you don’t have to disclose any of this information but if it’s something you want to share or worry about then please do! I would love to have a discussion and adjust anything you might not be sure about to make it more comfortable for you.
Are you ok with Pets?
100%, I have a dog myself and I am an expert at getting them to pose (as long as treats are involved) so please bring your pets if you would like them involved!
