My Favourite Wedding Venues in Edinburgh
Royal College of Physicians - Classy & Elegant
This venue was so beautiful I couldn’t find a bad angle. The lighting was stunning and you have a lot of options for photos within and outside of the venue. RCPE have access to the Queen Street Gardens so you can have beautiful nature photos a few steps away.
The staff were great, friendly and very helpful. We had the whole building to ourselves and we had the opportunity to explore and take photos everywhere unbothered.
Signet Library - Academic Luxury

The Signet Library is very stunning, it felt like a royal wedding in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. Just next to St. Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile. I would say the only drawback is the tourists outside when you do the outdoor photos, but it is possible to get crowd-free photos!
Harvestmoon - Outdoorsy & Adventurous
Harvestmoon is the perfect outdoorsy venue, especially if you are booking the cabins for your guests.
I was photographing my friends’ wedding and also attending as a guest. It was a 3-day celebration. My friends are very outdoorsy, love sports and they are super competitive. Naturally, the wedding was a long party with bonfires, a “party cabin”, wild swimming, and we were all divided into two teams to compete in Highland Games, chess and football.
Of course, you can structure your wedding with what feels right for you. My friends booked all these activities independently to the venue
Monktoon House - Unique & Magical
With a variety of uniquely themed rooms, you can live your witchy, quirky dreams.
You have to definitely see it in person! My photos don’t even do it justice. I was shooting at Monktoon for a veil brand and I didn’t have the chance to photograph all the spots I wanted to but it is beautiful!
